Steve Downing Group Safety and Training Director for the Lloyds British Group has been appointed to the Board of LEEA after having served in a co-opted role for the last 12 months.
As The Industry Trade and Standards Association, The LEEA is regarded world wide as the authoritative source on competency standards for Inspection, Testing, Certification and Lifting Equipment Training.
Steve has previously been on the LEEA Training Committee, assisting in the development of vocational standards for Health and Safety training and has been recently involved in helping launch the new ‘LEEA End User Training Programmes’ which Lloyds British will be offering worldwide from April 2009.
Steve has previously been Chairman of the Safety and Training Association of the BSIF and ISCA and has been a Technical Consultant for The British Safety Council.
