One of Spain's largest civil construction engineering company, Duro Felgo, has appointed Lloyds British Training Services to be its’ competent training body for all its’ staff safety training on projects in the UK.
In particular, Lloyds British Training has been closely involved with the company at the Staythorpe C Power Station development in Nottinghamshire.
Due to the complexity of lifting activities during the stations’ development, Lloyds British have been onsite training the company’s employees in Rigging, Slinging and Crane Supervisor programmes.
Steve Downing Group Safety and Training Director said " Our flexibility and experience has enabled Duro Felguera to maintain an ongoing safety training programme and keep up the installation activities onsite, which has meant being available on Saturdays and Sundays and at any hour required, but without a doubt the safety performance of its’ workforce is testament to their high standards".
The success of the relationship has also meant that Lloyds British Training has been training the employees of the sites principle contractor at Staythorpe C - Alstom Power Systems.
